Kids for the Cure (Trinity Chapter)

Two Trinity students, Emily Bourque ('11) and Emily Martin ('11) created Kids for the Cure, an organization that "works to provide hope, courage, and understanding to children of cancer patients." The organization was begun at Trinity in 2009, as part of the students' junior theology projects. The group creates kits that are distributed to children of cancer patients through area oncology practices and hospitals.

Since its inception, Kids for the Cure has received several awards, including a grant from Do Something (
www.dosomething.org) and the Queen City Rotary Club. They have also been featured in The Union Leader and presented with a "Witness to Hope" award at the Trinity High School 2010 Campus Ministry Banquet.
